Head Chef, the Camas Dining Room

Wallowa Lake Lodge

job description

Wanna take a break from the city this summer? Wanna run your own restaurant with almost zero risk? Have we got the deal for you!

Wallowa Lake Lodge in beautiful Joseph, Oregon seeks an enterprising individual to take the helm at our seasonal restaurant, the Camas Dining Room.

Open from May through September, we welcome zany ideas, restaurant pop-ups, and creative flexes. Seriously, whatever you want to do is open for exploration.

Our base needs are:

-daily breakfast 7-10am -daily Happy Hour 3-5pm -daily dinner service 5-9pm (closed Monday nights)

-some beloved comfort food favorites on the menu for our longtime customers

Our dining room currently seats 40 along with gorgeous outdoor deck space for an additional 40. We have a full liquor license and serve drinks from our legendary Lobby Tiny Bar.

An awesome crew await marching orders from someone with vision and energy but noooooo drama.

Is it you?

We offer competitive pay, supportive kitchen and admin staff, a super fun work environment in the most beautiful place in Oregon and can help with housing.

Ideally we would like someone who can tangle with inventory, scheduling, and ordering, but we can tackle that if necessary.

Mostly, we need someone who is willing to work hard for 4 months leading the team and making a name for themselves in Oregon’s hottest summer locale.

Wallowa Lake Lodge will be 100 years old next year and represents a century of memories for thousands of families across the Northwest. We feature down home service, gorgeous views, and a healthy dose of weirdness all summer long. Opportunities for year-round staff positions are available, as well as support with continuing education and training.
